The mission of Camp Cinder is to provide young women a safe, dynamic, interactive and challenging environment to gain strength, knowledge, and confidence in their ability to excel in the profession of firefighting and beyond. Upon completing the camp, young women will leave with a sense of empowerment and the confidence that they can succeed in any career they choose.

The camp’s primary purpose is to introduce young women and gender-diverse youth to emergency service careers. The camp will aim to provide information, inspiration, education and opportunities to experience the physical demands placed on first responder’s thereby allowing a more accurate perception of what it takes to act in these roles. The ultimate goal is that the youth leave with a sense of empowerment and the confidence to believe they can achieve any goal, career, or dream they desire.

Camp Fully Involved is a physically challenging, aggressive hands-on, live-in week long summer camp directed towards young women between the ages of 14 (and having completed the 8th grade) and 20 who are interested in exploring the career of a firefighter. No experience or affiliation with a fire department is required, and we encourage application from young women who do not have any affiliation with the fire service.

Camp Ember is a 4 day, 3-night camp offered to young women ages 16-18. The camp is free for the young women selected and includes training, mentorship from community female firefighters, lodging, transportation between training events and food/drink. Campers will be introduced to the world of firefighting and EMS by mentors that will inspire them to embrace their full potential!
